My name is Adrienn Papp, and I am a self-taught surreal artist working primarily with oil paint and real thread. In 2018, during a difficult period in my life, I turned to painting as a way to express emotions that were often difficult to put into words. What began as a personal outlet gradually became a lifelong passion. Since then, I have dedicated myself to teaching and developing my skills, exploring the endless possibilities of oil painting while creating a visual language that is uniquely my own. Much of my work is inspired by childhood memories, resilience, and the emotions that shape our lives. By incorporating real thread into my paintings, I create tactile works that blur the line between imagination and reality. My hope is that each painting invites viewers to pause, reflect, and discover their own meaning within the work. If someone finds comfort, recognition, or a sense of connection through my art, then I feel I have achieved what I set out to do.
